Custom pricing rules let you charge different prices for specific dates. Use them for weekend rates, busy seasons, quieter periods, or special dates.
This feature is available in Easy Booking Calendar Pro.
How pricing works
Your product’s current price is the base price. If a sale price is active, that becomes the base price.
Each rule increases or decreases this price by a fixed amount in your store’s currency. The adjustment applies to each booked day or night that matches the rule.
Dates without a matching rule keep the base price.
Setting up a rule
- Edit a bookable product and open the Easy Booking Calendar tab.
- Click Manage pricing rules.
- Turn on Enable custom pricing.
- Add a rule and choose its dates and price adjustment.
- Click Apply Rules, then Update the product to save your changes.
Rule options
- Rule name: Give the rule a useful name, such as “Summer weekends.” This is optional.
- Enabled: Turn an individual rule on or off without deleting it.
- Applies to: Choose specific dates or a date range.
- Specific dates: Select one or more dates individually.
- Date range: Choose a From and To date. Within that range, apply the rule to all days or selected weekdays.
- Increase or decrease: Choose whether to add to or subtract from the base price.
- Amount: Enter the amount used to adjust the base price.
Note: Enter the adjustment amount, not the final price. For example, if the base price is €50 and you want the adjusted price to be €60, enter €10.
When rules overlap
Rules are checked from top to bottom. Only the first matching rule applies to each date. Adjustments are not added together.
Drag rules to change their priority. Put specific exceptions above broader rules.
For example, if you have a summer rule and a special-date rule, place the special-date rule first so it takes priority on that date.
Examples
Higher weekend prices
Your base price is €50 per night, and you want to charge €65 on Fridays and Saturdays during summer.
- Choose a date range covering the summer period.
- Select Friday and Saturday.
- Choose Increase and enter 15.
Matching nights cost €65. Other nights keep the €50 base price unless another rule applies.
Lower prices during a quiet period
Your base price is €80 per day, and you want to offer a discount throughout November.
- Choose November 1–30.
- Apply the rule to all days.
- Choose Decrease and enter 10.
Each booked day in that range costs €70.
A special-date exception
Your base price is €100, with a summer rule that adds €20. For one particular date, you want to charge €150.
- Add a specific-date rule.
- Choose Increase and enter 50.
- Drag it above the summer rule.
That date costs €150—not €170—because only the first matching rule applies.
Bookings with different prices
A booking can include both regular-price dates and adjusted-price dates. Each day or night is priced separately, then added to the booking total.
For example, two days at €100 and two days at €120 give a total of €440. The price breakdown helps customers see how that total was calculated.
In night-based booking mode, the checkout date is not charged.
Good to know
- Pricing rules change prices, not availability. A blocked date stays unavailable.
- Date ranges use exact dates. A summer rule must be updated or recreated for the following year.
- You can disable custom pricing without deleting your rules.
- Clicking Apply Rules prepares your changes; remember to Update the product to save them.
